Ramla Sahid is the founder and executive director of PANA and is responsible for overseeing the organization’s growth as the leading voice for refugees in San Diego. She brings more than a decade of experience in the nonprofit arena and a strong track record of successfully advancing state policy and local campaign initiatives.

Prior to PANA, she was a community organizer for Mid-City Community Advocacy Network, where she led the Access to Health Care, Affordable Care Act, and Peace Promotion’s restorative justice work for the California Endowment’s Building Healthy Communities Initiative in City Heights, San Diego.
