Democracy is bigger than elections. It lives wherever our communities organize to be counted, demand fair representation, shape district lines, and win decisions that allow our families to thrive.

We believe that multiracial power-building is not just necessary — it is the only path forward to ensure that those most impacted by injustice are leading the fight for a truly inclusive and equitable multiracial society.

Our civic engagement is year-round and grounded in community knowledge. Every few years, PANA’s Refugee Community Experiences Report brings refugees and first-generation Americans from refugee families together to identify the barriers and priorities shaping their lives—from housing, health, and education to employment, belonging, and surveillance. The latest survey heard from 656 people, and PANA uses that community knowledge to drive collective action through leadership development, policy advocacy, voting, census participation, and redistricting.
